BevNET Review: As far as packaging innovations go, Rebootizer's package type is definitely one of the more unique approaches that we've seen in a while. Using a unique flat pouch that has separate compartments for the liquid and the powder (presumably to ensure that the nutrients are actually there when the consumer drinks it), the consumer simply squeezes the pouch to mix the liquid with the powder (there's an inner seal that breaks with moderate pressure). From there, the consumer tears off the corner and drinks the mixture from the pouch.
In our tests, this was a fairly straightforward and simple process, with the only hiccup being that the opening on the pouch is a bit small to drink through. All in all, we like the approach of the pouch — it's different than what's out there and we think that its unique shape probably presents some opportunity in convenience channels.
In terms of what's inside the pouch, this is a product that's designed to help the body detox, with suggested consumption being right before bed. Rebootizer utilizes a mixture of vitamin C, sugar, and a proprietary blend of herbal ingredients (dandelion, licorice, angelica root, artichoke flower, lemon balm leaf, acerola extract, and lemon extract). From a flavor perspective, it is, without question, one of the better tasting 2 oz products that we've sampled. The flavor tastes like instant iced tea, which is, at least in terms of shot products, a very welcome flavor.
Overall, Rebootizer is a very enjoyable product both inside and out —and it gets extra points for an innovative approach to packaging.
