EVP Pro-Am National Volleyball Championships coming to Racine's North Beach

The 2010 EVP Pro-Am National Championships presented by Rebootizer and realracine will be held Saturday at North Beach.

Competition in the beach volleyball tour's season-ending event will begin at 9 a.m. and run until 6 p.m. Professional and amateur beach volleyball teams will compete in the end of the summer event.

Among the top professional teams scheduled to compete are the seventh-ranked team of Kristen Batt and Brooke Sweat. Mark Paaluhi of Team Hermosa Beach and Carrie Wright of Team Santa Barbara also will be competing for the largest purse of the season. Youth, 12U, Juniors 14U and adults may still register for the tournament.

Entry fee is $25 per amateur player.
